JC Bose National Fellowship

The Government of India has instituted national research fellowship JC Bose Fellowship is given to boost scientific research in the country. This fellowship is started from 5 August 2005 by the prime minister of India. Prime minister announce three fellowship viz. JC fellowship, Ramanujam Fellowship and fellowship for scientist and Technologist of Indian origin, it’s a part of the government efforts to create career opportunity for scientist  to retain their talent at home. This fellowship is made to attract brilliant scientist and engineers from all over the world to take scientific research in India. This fellowship is given by the department of Science and technology, Indian government.

Eligibility for JC Bose fellowship:

This fellowship is given to those candidates whose age is not above 60 years. Candidate should passed higher degree like Ph. D science or engineering, Master in engineering/technology etc. and has work experience form specific area. Candidate should be permanent position in that organization. If candidate are applying for any other fellowship those candidate are not eligible.

Selection Procedure:

The candidates are required to provide information regarding in which institution the fellow is working. The JC fellowship will be published by variousinstitutions website. JC Bose fellowship selects the candidate by the selection committee. 

General Information:

JC Bose fellowship gives 20000 rupees per month and his or her income. In addition each candidate will get 5 lakh per year for other expensesandconferences. The duration of fellowship is 5 years. The science and technology is administered for this scheme.The candidate would be eligible for regular research through extramural funding schemes.
