Indian Institute of geomagnetism is also known as IIG. In 1971 Indian institute of geomagnetism is established and it is located at Mumbai, India. It was earlier known as the Colaba Alibag Observatories it’s a part of Indian meteorologist department. IIG is an autonomous organization under the department of science and Technology. Indian Institute of geomagnetism is a leading institute of India. IIG has a number of active research groups involved in theoretical, experimental, and observational work. IIG is shifted to new site at Panvel, New Mumbai in 2003. IIG has an Equatorial Geophysical Research Laboratory at Tirunelveli. This fellowship is awarded by the Indian institute of geomagnetism.
Eligibility for Indian institute of Geomagnetism research fellowship:
Indian Institute of Geomagnetism fellowship is given to those candidates who obtained a Ph. D. degree in any research from pursued at the institute.
Candidate should first identify a project which is in line of his or her research interest and after that candidate should send a request to the director of IIG along with resume. The candidate will require talk with the scientist of the institute, in which the candidate will highlights the plans.
Indian institute of geomagnetism every year gives this fellowship. This fellowship is given to those students who enrolled themselves in any one of the various research programs at the institute. The Indian institute of geomagnetism gives fellowship of rupees 14 thousand to 18 thousand and this rupees is given on the basis of experience in that field. The fellowship Information is published in employment newspaper in the month of April.
